Website Production Groups

Visual Team (3 people – Cassie, Michelle, Davin)
-Assess logo, layout, theme and come up with practical ways to improve the website’s visual appearance and functionality.

Twitter (2 people – Jeremy, Matt)
-Monitor the @NJ_Southbound account and report to the class on activity and story ideas
-Write and schedule tweets to promote student stories
-RT stories that may be of interest to NJSouthbound audience
-Follow accounts that are of interest to NJSouthbound
-Strategize ways to use Twitter for the project

Facebook (2 people – April, Ashley Force)
-Monitor the NJSouthbound FB account and report to the class on activity and story ideas
-Post links, photos, videos, etc to FB page
-Find FB pages associated with things that students cover. “Like” them
-Strategize ways to use FB for the project

Map (2 people – Matt H., Tyler)
-Keep map up to date with new published stories
-Look for locations that haven’t been covered and report to class on possible story ideas

Story posting (2 people – Michael, Me)
-Help students post their own stories to NJSouthbound
-Ensure that stories are posted to NJSouthbound in proper formats

Editorial (6-8 people – Every else)

-Ensure that stories go through proper work-flow (editing, proofreading, posting, map, social media)
-Copy edit stories
-Research on potential story ideas
