Deanne Fitzmaurice is a “multimedia storyteller inspired by the elements of interpersonal relationships and a keener understanding of today’s most salient issues.” She won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography for her year-long project documenting a 9-year-old Iraqi boy’s battle for life. She works with both photographs and video and has produced stories for Time Magazine, Sports Illustrated, MSNBC, and Media Storm.
Fitzmaurice will speak at Rowan University on Wed, Oct 6 from 7-9 p.m. in Boyd Recital Hall in Wilson Hall. (Extra credit for students in Online Journalism 1 and 2.)
